Perhaps the most exciting development driving the cannabis legalization movement has been the discovery of the healing power of cannabidiol, better known as CBD. Increasingly we hear CBD touted as a “miracle cure” for many conditions, including anxiety, depression, spasms, autism, epilepsy, and cancer. How do you separate the reality from the hype?
Project CBD was founded to educate the public about the latest scientific research into the medical uses of the CBD. Join Martin A. Lee and Allan Badiner of Project CBD for a discussion of recent groundbreaking developments in cannabis science, therapeutics and political economy.
Among the topics to be covered are: cannabis oil remedies, CBD-THC synergies, medicinal genomics, and what science is learning about the endocannabinoid system, the powerful and ubiquitous cell-signaling network within the body that is just beginning to be understood.
We’ll also explore the "dietary cannabinoids," non-psychoactive herbs and spices that bind to the same receptor sites that cannabis does, and confer many health protective benefits. Finally, we will look at the results of the legalization referendums in five states and the promise, as well as possible hazards that they may bring.
